On January 3 2023, the government withdrew funding for its Kickstart employment scheme.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n[vc_column_text title_type=”h1″]Announced in the summer statement, the kickstart scheme is designed to both help young people find jobs, gain business funding<\/strong><\/a>, and assist the UK economic recovery.\n

The basic idea is that the government has agreed to fund new 6-month work placements for 16-24-year-olds that might otherwise have difficulties finding jobs.<\/p>\n

The focus should therefore be on giving these temporary employees the experience and skills they’ll need to thrive in the workplace.<\/p>\n
